Smart Transceiver Direct Attach Cables

As 10-gigabit optical transceivers and cables became a costly data system solution due to related distances and installation overheads, the need for an economical option arose. Utilizing its copper expertise, Methode developed a copper transceiver direct attach cable system as a low-cost alternative, with savings up to $200 per port. Its point-to-point connection allows users to build XFP/XFP, SPF+/SFP+ and XFP/SFP+ configurations with data transfer speeds of up to 10 gigabits in lengths of up to 20 meters. With the capability to connect different systems for data transfer, the solution includes the market's only active (XFP) to passive (SFP+) Smart Transceiver Direct Attach Cable.
