Trace Laboratories Expands Product Safety Test Capabilities
Technical Expertise in Medical Devices Helps Trace Labs Assist Customers with Their Testing Needs
Hunt Valley, MD – September 16, 2010 – Trace Laboratories has been approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission as a Conformity Assessment Body and a third-party testing laboratory for the certification of children’s products. Trace has now expanded their analytical capabilities to reach far beyond the toy industry.
Concerns continue to rise over the chemicals that are being used in the production of cosmetics, food, medical devices, toys, jewelry, and various consumer products. Scientific studies continue to evaluate for adverse health effects of these chemicals. The list of hazardous and banned substances is constantly expanding. One substance of recent concern is organotins – tributyltin, triphenyltin, dibutyltin, and dioctyltin. Trace has added the capability of examining for these substance and now offers a comprehensive testing package that includes heavy metals, phthalates, bisphenol-A, and organotins.
