PowerFlex is a remarkable high-strand-count cable designed for high current power distribution applications. This construction gives PowerFlex its remarkable flexibility, allowing tight-radius bends and significantly increasing cable life where movement, shock, or vibration are present. It also allows PowerFlex to carry more current than same gauge conventional cable. Its extreme flexibility makes installation easy and eliminates mechanical misalignment with mating connectors such as power supply output terminals.
Military Vehicle High-Current Application
Methode developed a tough, flexible Parallel Power Cable (PPC) to route high current around the inside of military vehicles.
Flat-braid cable offers lower inductance and adjacent conductive paths, carrying equal-and-opposite current to cancel differential-mode noise.
